This I recall to my mind,These remarkable words immediately follow twenty verses of Jeremiah's complaints against God. He was so good at it that he inspired our word 'jeremiad' to indicate grievances of Biblical proportions. But even in the midst of depression, he found that God's compassion never fails and we all can revel in new mercies every single day.
Therefore I have hope.
Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
