“Now We Can Get Things Done”

When Arlen Specter finally admitted he really was a Democrat after all, Nancy Pelosi welcomed him with open arms. “Very exciting, very exciting for the American people, because now we can get things done without explaining process,” were her words to a CNN reporter.

It’s not enough that they ram bills through without reading them, without allowing debate, and without allowing amendments. They don’t even want to explain process to the American people. I guess those staffers really complain when voters melt the phone lines and jam their email boxes witih protests.
