But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. John 12:23-24Jesus' death has born much fruit in the last two thousand years. As we wait for Easter to celebrate His resurrection, we can contemplate the far reaches of the Christian world view that produced Western Civilization at its best, the lives of Christians who have influenced us, and the personal growth we've experienced because of Jesus death. May we also be inspired to lay down our own narrow proclivities and open our lives to bearing more and better fruit now that we have a better understanding of God's outrageous love for us.
