Mark 8:34b-35To deny oneself and pick up a cross every day of one's life sounds like a steep price to pay for anything. On the other hand, to become an adopted child of the God of Creation is surely worth any sacrifice we make. Lent helps us rethink our puny sacrifices in the light of rewards too wonderful for our imagination, much less our description.
