If My People, XXVIII

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matt.28:19-20

The straggly band of nobodies to whom Jesus spoke were hardly a publicist's dream team. They had no cell phones, YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter. Both overland and sea travel were expensive, slow, and dangerous. Yet within one generation, they had begun to transform the Middle East and within 300 years converted the Roman Empire.

How do you get new members when your group is outlawed, so you can't even announce the next meeting or advertise a big rally? Simple. You live a life so full of love that people on the street stop and ask, "What is your secret?" and "Why are you so happy?"

The rancor, divisiveness, crime, and political unrest in our country will only heal when its people are healed spiritually. How is your life going? Has anyone stopped you lately to ask how can you be so loving? Pray for your neighbors and pray to be asked.
