They Did Something Right

The Senate has passed legislation making it more difficult to pass cap-and-trade legislation, part of Obama's environmental proposals. The cap-and-trade portion of his plan had been decried by conservatives on both sides of the aisle because it would become an enormous defacto tax on all Americans. By making use of energy more expensive, it would greatly increase costs all across the board, from everything manufactured or transported in the US to all power bills in the home. The 67-31 vote is filibuster proof.
